CIS is committed to preparing students to succeed in college and beyond. As part of our commitment, we established the following merit-based scholarships to recognize current and new students at CIS. Applications will be posted on this page by January 15, 2019, and will be due by March 22, 2019.

CIS FELLOWS PROGRAM

CIS offers 10 annual fellowships to students in the Upper School. The merit-based fellowships feature a $2,000 scholarship, a $500 stipend, and the opportunity to create and execute a project related to one of five unique features of the CIS curriculum. Current and new students entering 9th through 12th grade may apply in the spring for fellowships beginning in the fall. As part of the application, the students must propose a research or service project for one of five areas.

  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Fellow

  • World Languages Fellow

  • Arts Fellow

  • Global Perspectives Fellow

  • Service Learning Fellow

The $2,000 scholarship will be in addition to any other scholarships or financial aid the student might be awarded. The $500 stipend may be used to purchase needed materials/supplies, project-related travel, or other project-related expenses.

All CIS Fellows will present the results of their project during our annual Fellows’ Day celebration.
