The CIS Media Center provides print and digital resources to enrich the reading and research interests of our students and faculty. We aim to foster an atmosphere rich in intellectual curiosity and to cultivate a love for reading. We are dedicated to teaching students how to use information both effectively and ethically.
Located in the heart of the school, the Media Center offers more than 18,000 books and a growing ebook collection. Magazines, newspapers, and reference sources are available in both print and digital formats. Special collections include French, Spanish, and Mandarin language materials.
Lower school students visit the Media Center weekly to enjoy story time, check out books, and learn research skills. Middle and upper school students frequent the Media Center on an as-needed basis for quiet study, group work, and classroom instruction. The Media Center computer lab offers students regular opportunities to develop their technology skills.
The Media Center is open for checkout on school days from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For questions, call the Media Center directly at (573) 777-9258.
