Our cross country team competes during the fall semester, meeting for regular after-school practices and participating in local meets within our class. This sport is open to girls and boys in 7th through 12th grades. Practices are held after school from 4 - 5:30 p.m. and are held at CIS, Cosmo Park, and other local runs designed by coaches Wally Luther and Alex Otis.
All athletes are required to have a current sports physical on file prior to competing in this activity.
NOTE: Athletes that would like to compete in both cross country and soccer may do so with practice schedules determined by the coaches of both sports.
US cross country competition consists of running a 5k, or 3.1 miles, through natural terrain courses. Our upper school teams regularly run in six to seven meets per season.
MS cross country compeition consists of running 1.5 miles over natural terrain. Our middle school teams generally run in five to six events per season.
