Student Perspectives
See CIS from a student's perspective by reading about the experiences students have at a small, private, independent school. Across the board, students agree CIS has enriched their lives:
My mom and dad enrolled me in the kindergarten class for the 2005-2006 school year. I could hardly wait to join my friends and start learning at CIS. Whenever I saw my friends go off to school it made me sad because I want to be with them. Mom said, "Be patient." Maybe I will learn that at CIS.

Columbia Independent School is a good place to learn. The teachers are good and they make class interesting and learning fun. The right teacher can make any subject fun. I learn a lot and the classroom is a nice quiet place to study. I like going to school everyday and the day goes so quickly. I like that it is a small school. The teachers and Ms. Savage know all the students and I know most people. It is a friendly place to go to school.

Columbia Independent School offered me a challenging education in a friendly environment. Attending CIS also allowed me to excel in sports such as cross country and cheerleading. CIS motivated me and made me confident that I was prepared for college. I was honored to be a part of the CIS Student Body.

The education I received at CIS was truly phenomenal. The challenging curriculum and the individual attention didn't just allow me to get in to a fantastic college, it also furnished me with the analytical skills and knowledge to succeed once I got there.
