Senior Internship
As a second semester graduation requirement, each senior designs a program which allows the student to work in a new setting with an internship supervisor at an off-site location. The seniors engage in an internship that focuses on their intended field of study for college and work with a supervisor who is a current professional in the particular field. The seniors learn new skills and gain experiences that broaden their understanding of the field; they establish a sound working relationship with the supervisor and successfully accomplish tasks and goals. Plans for the internship begin in December and are finally proposed to the Senior Internship Committee in April. The internship takes place during the last three weeks of school. Details about the process and guidelines are available from the Senior Internship Committee.
