This year, Columbia Independent School kicks off its specialized Middle School curriculum for students in 6th through 8th grades. The creation of this new school division provides pre-adolescent students with expanded opportunities, age appropriate instruction across fields of study including Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and History, Latin, Language Arts and the Fine Arts, and the opportunity to integrate individual educational concepts into a broader world view.
Like all Columbia Independent School Students, Middle School students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities ranging from athletics to internal school clubs – and are always encouraged to give back to their community through participation in community service projects.
We look forward to welcoming this year’s students to the newly defined CIS Middle School.
