In 1998, in a galaxy not so far away, Columbia Independent School opened its doors to 55 students and 16 staff and faculty.
Now, with 25 successful years tucked under our lightsaber belt, CIS is home to more than 400 students and their families—a vibrant learning community devoted to cultivating young minds and preparing students for life.
We are looking to build upon this momentum as we begin Episode XXV—A New Dawn.

Your support for the Pride Fund allows us to continue to be the premier JK-12 educational experience in Columbia, Missouri, for the next 25 years and beyond.
The Pride Fund, our annual giving campaign, is a crucial part of the CIS budget and student experience. Like most independent schools, tuition does not cover the full cost of a CIS education. We rely on our community’s charitable donations to the Pride Fund to make up the difference.
What does my Pride Fund donation support?

In 2022-2023, we surpassed our Pride Fund goal of $220,000 and this year we hope to raise over $225,000!
