For students that are interested in a MSHAA sport not currently offered by Columbia Independent School, there may be an opportunity to compete through a “co-op” arrangement with another high school.
Currently, CIS has set up four other sporting options for students in 9th through 12th grade. Students currently compete in Wrestling (winter season), Girl’s Softball (fall season), Boy’s Swimming & Diving (fall season) and Boy’s Golf (spring season) through Rock Bridge High School. These students travel to Rock Bridge to practice and compete with these teams.
CIS also has one sporting option for students in 7th and 8th grade. Students can compete in Boys Football (fall season) through Our Lady of the Lourdes Interparish School.
Inclusion on a co-op team is not guaranteed. Each athlete must try out and successfully be selected for the team they are interested in before competing. Additional co-op opportunities may be arranged based on student interest and participation from other schools. For more information please contact our Athletic Director Wade Curtis at 573-999-6253 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each athlete must also have a current sports physical on file before participating in these activities, including tryouts.
